SILKYGIRL: MATTE JUNKIE LIP CREAM REVIEW AND SWATCHES

I was very happy when the brand approaches me and ask for collaboration because I have been following their social media and I always saw a good review of their products. So, today I'll be discussing my experience about their best seller Matte Junkie Lip Cream.

SilkyGirl is a Malaysian cosmetics and skincare, offers a complete range of high-quality color cosmetics that will meet the needs of discerning consumers in both the urban and suburban markets. SILKYGIRL’s brand personality is fun, young, colorful and exudes confidence. The core promise of the brand is delivered through the latest color trend and high-quality specifications of the products.

The packaging is very decent and eye-catching, a slim liquid matte lipstick with a very nice doe-foot applicator. It comes with a nice plastic tube including the product info and accurate shades names. The formula is kissproof and transfer resistant and dries semi-matte except for #2 Glamour shade, will discuss below. It stays on your lips through day and night activities requiring minimal touch-ups.

 SILKYGIRL MATTE JUNKIE LIP CREAM REVIEW

The lip cream is a semi-matte finish with a thinner texture and feels lightweight on the lips doesn’t feel sticky at all. Formula wise, nondrying but if you have dry lips to try prep and moisturize first before using any matte lippies.


Unfortunately, I don't like the #2 Glamour shade, yes it looks nice on my skin tone, the color is beautiful but the formula of this one is drying and patchy for some reason, this is the lightest shade among the 8, but the rest is fine, blendable and easy to apply.

Overall, I liked it and I have been using it for a couple of weeks already and all shades are wearable on any occasion.  Good thing that they are paraben free and cruelty-free.  Staying power is good and noraml, it can last 3-4 hours depending on your lips activities.

Whenever I received matte lipstick, its a life changing for me because I am not so fan of matte, I already mentioned that on my previous post but sometimes it was a nice experience to try something new and this one doesn't belong to the "Matte" that didn't give a nice blending and formula. These Junkie Lip Cream are good and my favorite is shade #11 and #12.
